Core business competency and abilities:

Electro Service was established in 1992 as a computer store located at 1565 Alexandria Drive in Lexington, Kentucky. The origination of the business was to facilitate the construction of computer systems that could process a program that engineers used called Autocad. This highly desired program was needed by all machine companies that wanted to automate the manufacturing process. What made this software different is that it had some technical requirements that escaped most computer re-sale vendors.

Over the course of years, Electro Service built thousands of clone PC systems under the brand name of Electro Service, PC Systems ® . Clone computers were shipped all over the United States. Operations employed up to 10 employees at one time.

In the later part of the 90s the profit margin became challenged and Electro Service, had to re-evaluate the business model. We decided to abandon the retail and construction of computer systems and focus on service and labor. The overhead was fixed and the profit margins remained stable. Electro Service still operates in this mode.

Currently we are executing a new type of service delivery. The internet has facilitated the ability to remote control clients computers. Moving on into the next decade of business we envision using this new type of managed service model to help a wide and diverse group of clients. Telecommuting has become an attractive way of doing business because of the rising transportation cost. This segment along with the small business sector that cannot afford to hire administrators looks quite promising.

I started out repairing televisions in the 70s and with the commoditizing of that device it became more expensive to repair than to buy a new one. I was recruited out of college to work for Tandy Corporation to run their Allied Electronics district in Chicago, when they decided to merge that into the Radio Shack division. I worked with some of the original Radio Shack management personnel and helped introduce their first computer the TRS-80. I later migrated into the industrial component business and worked for several years with the largest parts distributor in the world and became educated in computer manufacturing as my customer IBM was involved in all aspects of computer and networks systems. Lexington Kentucky was the manufacturing location of the IBM Selectric typewriter which was discontinued and replaced with printers. The location later became Lexmark. The company I worked for created the IBM strategic accounts office and we worked with engineers all over the world. My primary responsibilities were Northeast IBM research and development. We even built parts of the first Chen (a Seymour Cray Protege) era super computers in Owingsville, Kentucky.

I have a degree in computer information systems, I have an A+ CompTIA certification, I am certified in Cat5E wire and Fiber Optics by Berk-Tek Manufacturing, I have an Intel, Motorola and AMD computer product certification from those companies, I have a Dell DCSE (Dell Certified System Engineer) certification in soft skills and project lead, I have numerous HP certification of which television display service is one, I have a Samsung LCD TV service certification, I have various other electronic component certifications to add.

I have trained numerous technicians in my shop over the years, many of which are still in the computer industry. I believe that these services are backed up by an unprecedented expertise that you should take advantage of;
